This week’s Men’s Month post looks at Daniel Lossy, founder and creator of International Markets Trading Institute With a BCom Honours from the University of Cape Town, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Practice from UCT-GSB a Master of Science in Financial Services from University of Salford in Manchester- UK, Daniel is no stranger to the financial world. He has extensive knowledge of financial markets, how stocks are influenced by current events and economic policies. He is highly skilled in stocks, CFDs and futures options, with 7 years of personal trading experience. He has strong understanding of market volatility and engages in careful analysis process to determine placements of buy and sell orders.
Daniel spent 6 years working for Business Change at Sanlam Head office in Cape Town. His career at Sanlam focused on Operational Excellence & Lean Six Sigma, then moved to a project at Sanlam Trust to help with investment process optimisation, before founding IMTI. He formed IMTI with the mission to provide knowledge of trading to youth in South Africa, particularly the previously disadvantaged individuals, to learn the new skill of trading the financial markets using the Sanlam iTrade trading platform.
Daniel enjoys travelling, playing golf, good wine and good food; particularly at his favourite wine farms in Stellenbosch and Franschoek. Spending time with his family is something he values the most, especially time spent with his kids Angelic Nqobile Lossy and Lusajo Inamandla Lossy.
