Further investing for our iTrade Fantasy League!

After the market declined the last three days, some of the shares are offering more value and we decided to invest a bit more of the cash. We are still investing only 50% of the cash we want to invest in every share.

Thanks to your voting, the BBET40 EFT fell out of the Top 4 and was replaced by the RMBMID ETF, which looks a lot better on technical analysis. We bought 3,400 shares this morning for a total value of just less than R25,000. The same happened when your votes moved Naspers into the Top 4 of the Retail Sector to replace the very expensive SABMiller. We bought 15 of these shares at just more than R17,000 per share. We also bought Billiton, Old Mutual and Mr Price after all three came down a bit and now look better on the technicals.

In the Industrial sector, Bidvest is still sliding as well as the property shares. The market does not like today’s announcement that Bidvest and the PIC will agree to jointly control Adcock with Bidvest managing it. Fortunately Aspen replaced Redifine in the Top 4, again thanks to your votes. Aspen looks close to giving a buy signal. We will monitor the share closely.

Keep on voting on the iTrade Fantasy League Facebook App. We will make changes to the portfolio every month based on your voting. As soon as the majority of the R1m is invested, the competition will start to predict the value of the portfolio as at end November. The winner will get 60% of the profit of the portfolio, second placed 20% and third 10% with 10% also going to CHOC, the childhood cancer foundation. The previous winner (2013) received more than R100,000 of the total profits of nearly R170,00. *Please read the Rules specified
